Week 18

The eves are in and the final coat of render should be on soon. The outside is taking shape and we should have 'lockup' in the next week.  Looking ahead, the scaffolding should come down this week and the electrical should start.

Week 17

This week the 1st floor polystyrene was installed, ducting for heating and cooling installed, temporary doors installed and the first coat of render was put on.

The cavity sliders (rail) have been installed to the ensuite bathrooms and the bath niches have also been constructed.

We also had a meeting with our site supervisor who informed us that everything is going smoothly and that we should be at 'lock up' in the next two weeks.

The weather looks like it will turn to the better next week, so we should see the eaves finished, the 2nd coat of render completed, the remaining windows installed and the scaffolding removed.

Here are some pics!

Week 16 - Rain Rain, Go Away!

Well, not too much progress this week, thanks to the wind and the rain.  We are all hoping that the rain subsides next week, so that the polystyrene and render can be installed.

As we continue on our artwork purchases, we found an aboriginal artist online and purchased a couple of their paintings on E-bay.  They look amazing!

Week 15 - Raise Da Roof!

This week the brick layers completed the front pillars, the roof facia / guttering was installed and the roof tiles were delivered and installed.

Next week brings the completion of the 1st floor wall cladding and moving toward 'lock up' phase.
